While our family is very musical, I always appreciate listening to musical performance, especially those with my A on it. 😉
A’s first musical concert was in Kindergarten 2010, it was so cute! Watching all the children singing with all their might really put a smile on everyone’s face.
As we moved to different states – different school, what I learned is not every school has a music program for their students!
This year is the 1st year I got to see A doing a musical performance again! I was super excited! and the fact that is was scheduled after hours, it’s even better, I didn’t need to excuse myself from work!
So here are some pictures and videos from the concert:
A got to sing along with the kid,
he also got to dance
and got to play an instrument.
Finding some family time together without spending a lot of money sometimes it’s not always easy.
After migrating to US, I have learned to appreciate the outdoor living, to be out in the nature, enjoying fresh air during a nice hike in the woods, listening to the sound of nature : crisp leaves as I walk by, the chirping of birds or simply to watch the last color of the season till it last.
And above all, to capture A’s as much as I can and loving it.
Found this scribble which was written when A was in 1st grade.
My Family has a lot of great people.
One of them is my mom, Suri
If you saw my mom, she has brown hair, and brown eyes too
My mom plays LEGO with red, blue and white bricks
I remember when mom tickles me
I like when she hugs me
She’s the best mom ever!
We went to Bernhiem Forest last weekend (November 8 2015). It was a good hike for all of us. Got to be outside, enjoying fresh air, had a little exercise.
I might have not told you this, but A has developed to be a skilled-I-want-to-do-a-selfie boy.
Well, knowing that a lot of boys his age have refused to be in the pictures with their Mom, I choose to enjoy these selfie time as long as I can!
It is used to be I picked up the book for A. As a toddler, of course A had to ‘read’ what I read.
Then came school year, starting pre school, kindergarten year, and now 4th grade : A has the freedom to pick whatever book he wishes.
That’s when I have became familiar with Captain Underpants, Whimpy Diary and recently I was given an obligation by A to read Obert Skye’s series : The Creature From My Closet.
This is the 4th one that I’ve read within a month. I have to say : it has been a fun reading! (Especially when me and A had a after-reading discussion) 😇😇😇😇
A brought home the order form for his school pic taken in October. There were 2 poses of him where I would need to choose.
While looking at his pic, I said
” I am glad you had this pic when your hair is long” ( I like A in longer hair).
“Did you comb your hair or somebody else did?” (I like his hair messy looking but in the pic, it was pristine combed)
‘You gave me brush, remember?’
‘I brushed my hair for like 4 minutes Mom. I wanted to make sure I look handsome’
