Every now and then A would request his BFF to come over or him come over to his BFF place. They have been friends since 2nd grade and even though they are not in the same class anymore, A still considers them as his BFF.
So after trying to contact them for 2 weeks but were not able to, I finally met the BFF’s Mom in person and we have agreed to have the boys together on Sunday.
Sunday morning, A was really anxious to meet up with them and kept asking me to call them to confirm the plan. When he finally talked to the Mom, I asked him
“So are they (A’s BFF) going to come and play here or you are going to their place?”
“Mom! Don’t say they are going to play here! They are going to HANG OUT here OK?! Play is for kids!”
Play date time is over. It’s Hang Out time. I have to remember that from now on.
